Agricultural Solutions
Solexium offers a range of solutions specially designed for agricultural customers. Farmers have specific advantages when they choose to invest in solar energy. It allows a diversification of income as solar energy provides a stable, reliable cash-flow to mitigate the volatile market prices of production.A quality solar photovoltaic (PV) installation will provide recurring income with no or very little maintenance. Additional means of financial products are available for farmers and the possibility of obtaining tax credit on system’s depreciation can increase significantly the return on investment.
 Rooftop
Farm building such as sheds and barns can be ideal for the installation of rooftop PV systems. The perfect roof is oriented south and has no sources of shading. Project size will vary with the available area. Projects are generally between 30 kW and 250 kW for the FIT program. A rooftop system must be smaller than 10 kW to be eligible for the microFIT program. Ground-Mount The alternative to rooftop projects is the ground-mount solutions. Solexium offers a turnkey product eligible for the microFIT program. The complete 10 kW installation take a few days to install and will generate steady revenues based on the 80.2 cents/kilowatt-hour tariff.
|  ONTARIO DOMESTIC CONTENT COMPLIANT
All of Solexium's solutions are designed to meet all the FIT and MicroFIT contract requirements. Solexium selects components in order to meet the domestic content requirement.
MicroFIT projects currently require 40% of Ontario content, and 50% of the FIT projects. Starting January 1st, 2011, all projects will require a 60% Ontario content. |
