The Science behind a Solar PV System
Under the exposure of the sun radiation, the photovoltaic (PV) panels act like a generator. The energy contained in the photons is transferred to the atoms of silicon in the solar cells and is released in the form of electrons. The electrons are then collected with conductive material and the sum of the electric potential is available at the PV module terminal in the form of direct current.
The panel is protected with a set of fuses as a security safeguard. With a set of wires, the direct current (DC) is connect to the inverter, which converts the DC into alternative current (AC), ready to be used by conventional appliances. The AC current can be directly connected to the grid or, as in the figure, be connected first to the internal household line power.
The technology used depends on the needs. Solexium employs first quality PV panels and inverters. Depending on the configuration of the roof and the client needs, the technology chosen can vary from poly-crystalline modules to flexible amorphous modules. Solexium customizes the solution according to the every aspect of your needs. All Solexium's project are designed to be eligible for the FIT program.
